Costa Rica is a democratic republic in Central American bordered by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the east-southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west and south and the Caribbean Sea to the east. Quepos, a noted fishing mecca, lies on the southwest coast of the country, just three and a half-hours by car from the capitol, San Jose, or a short 18-minute flight.

The chart to the left was created with the use of the NOAA program to determine the paths of previous storms for the Pacific and Atlantic, illustrating the magnitude of The NO Hurricane Zone at Marina Pez Vela.

Upon closer inspection, it is readily evident that owners, their guests, their captains and their vessels are safe and secure, taking comfort in the fact that major storms and hurricanes are not a factor in Quepos, Costa Rica.
